BALI Awards Presentation Dinner
On Friday 7 December a team from Clifton Nurseries joined up with over 1,000 BALI members, guests and VIPs at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, for the presentation ceremony of the 2018 BALI National Landscape Awards.
Only those who've already won a BALI National Landscape Award are invited to the award ceremony so we were very proud to be there as winners in both the Grounds Maintenance – Private, value under £50k and the Domestic Garden Construction - Over £250k categories.
Following the dinner the Principal Award winners were announced; the Principal Award is given to one of the projects in each category of award winners and is designed to reward the best of the best in the landscape industry.
Principal BALI Award Winner for Grounds Maintenance, value under £50K
Clifton Nurseries was thrilled to be announced as the Principal Award winner in the category for Grounds Maintenance – Private, value under £50k. Judges commended the pristine condition of the many elements of this large Surrey garden including extensive lawns, herbaceous borders, wildflower meadows and a woodland carpet. Having also designed and built this garden ourselves, our team particularly love visiting this beautiful and peaceful garden on a regular basis and seeing the garden develop as part of the maintenance contract.
It was an honour to be acknowledged as being the best of category in front of the nation's top landscapers and gardeners . I'm very proud of Wayne and the team - this well deserved award highlights their professional excellence and expertise in maintaining this garden in such pristine condition.

BALI Award Winner for Domestic Garden Construction, value over £250K
Atlhough not a Principal winner in the Domestic Garden Construction - Over £250k category, we were still delighted to be award winners in this category for our work in building a stunning large Surrey garden in Surrey as designed by Cherry Mills. This was one of the most highly contested categories in the competition with the overall Grand award winner being selected from this category - so we were honoured to be in very good company!
