Chelsea fever is hitting the nation, and we're joining in the fun! Timed to coincide with the world famous Chelsea Flower Show, the Chelsea Fringe festival, now in its seventh year, is going from strength to strength. Often referred to as 'an alternative garden festival', the Chelsea Fringe consists of a wide variety of events, displays, installations and performances - all related to plants and gardens in some way.
In collaboration with Paddington Central, our Clifton Nurseries landscaping team has installed a wildflower meadow on top of the Pioneer barge on the Grand Union canal. The Floating Meadow, now a floral oasis of wildflowers and grasses, is among the registered Chelsea Fringe attractions for this year's festival. The delicate pink flowers of the Ragged Robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi) are now in full bloom and are much loved by bees and butterflies (and humans!).
Pop along to Sheldon Square at Paddington Central for this urban horticultural delight - and while you're there, why not pop along the tow path to visit the floral delights of Clifton Nurseries London, only a five minute walk away.
