Inspired by Chelsea Flower Show but not sure where to start in your own small garden? Visit our London branch to view the latest elegant redesign of our pocket show garden.

Designed originally by Jake Curley, one of the 2017 finalists in the RHS Young Garden Designer of the Year competition, and replanted with fresh planting designs on a seasonal basis by our talented team at the London branch, this pocket show garden aims to illustrate how even a small space can be transformed into an all year round space with colour, interest, movement and style.

This year's makeover was inspired by ideas from the current surge in popularity of indoor plants, in particular the larger architecturally-shaped houseplants with variegated leaves.

Variegation and shaped foliages are increasingly popular within the trending houseplant world - this collection of plants brings this same leafy appreciation into the outdoors.

In choosing her plants, Sarah also gained inspiration from the monochrome layering themes prevalent on this year's fashion catwalk. The blacks of the monochrome catwalk colour palette are substituted for this year's Pantone Colour of the Year, the softer, slightly more expressive, purple.

The garden is totally contained within bespoke fibreglass planters, a technique that works in any outdoor space and can be scaled up or down depending on requirements. The plants in the garden surround a bubbling water table and outdoor lighting enhances the garden in the evenings, with the subtle ambient light reflecting off the trickling water feature and highlighting the striking planting.
