With immense pride in representing Clifton Nurseries, some of our team enjoyed an evening of networking, dinner, style, fun and awards on Wednesday 22nd February at the esteemed Garden Retail Awards 2017.
Held at the glamorous Grand Connaught Rooms, London, the Garden Retail Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement within the garden retail industry. Entries are encouraged from garden centres and other retail outlets, as well as retail product and plant suppliers throughout the UK.
The charity partner for the event was Perennial, the only UK charity dedicated to helping all those who work in, have worked in, or are retired from horticulture.
Clifton Nurseries were honoured to be shortlisted for two of the awards; Best Garden Centre Event and Garden Centre Outlet of the Year (Mid Range). There was stiff competition in each of these two categories and we congratulate Green Pastures and Hayes Garden World for their respective wins – as well as all the other worthy category winners.
The awards culminated in the highlight of the evening; the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to our very own Non-executive Director, Dennis Espley. We were all delighted and privileged to lead the standing ovation to Dennis for his richly deserved award – presented to him in recognition of a lifetime of hard work, dedication, achievements and passion for the horticultural industry. Congratulations Dennis!
