National Gardening Week (28th April to 4th May) is a campaign run by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to raise awareness of gardening, to encourage more to take up gardening and to celebrate the joy of gardening.

"My favourite plant for this time of year is Brunnera macrophylla ‘Jack Frost’. It’s a delicate spring flower that has an interesting foliage that brightens up any space. It works well in London gardens that have a shady corner, plus it is easy to look after. It is a great pollinator and once it has bloomed the foliage adds a lovely texture to your garden."

"Containers are great fun to plant and suitable for a wide range of plants and veg. They're an easy way to brighten up small spaces and create focal points in larger areas adding colour. Growing plants in containers is easy but you do need to make sure that you keep an eye on watering as they can dry out quickly. The fun part of containers is that you can change them seasonally so they constantly look fresh."
