Art and Crafts Garden

Set in the Hampstead Garden Suburb conservation area, this Grade II listed Art and Crafts house was in need of a garden to accommodate the requirements of a large family with children ranging from new born to teenagers. The designer’s intention was to create useable, fun space for all the children, whilst still allowing the grown-ups their own part of the garden where they can enjoy and relax surrounded in soft calm planting.

When building this garden we used traditional materials associated with the Art and Crafts movement such as English Oak, reclaimed brick, and traditional Kent peg tiles to ensure that the garden looks in keeping with the house and enhances the beautiful surroundings.
