170th anniversary of Clifton Nurseries
In 2021 Clifton Nurseries is celebrating its 170th anniversary and what better time to announce our 170 year anniversary than during Chelsea Flower Show, another long lasting prestigious enterprise and the first time that Chelsea has been held in September!
Founded in 1851 the London branch of Clifton Nurseries is still located on the same beautiful site in Maida Vale - a site from which our rich history has been played out over the years by a series of enterprising and talented Clifton Nurseries owners, directors, managers and staff. This rich and long history includes numerous Chelsea Flower Show medals, award winning buildings on site, and other temporary branches in London and France as well as a concession in Japan.
Now with a second branch near Weybridge in Surrey, and with the BALI award-winning garden design, build and maintenance operation going strong, Clifton Nurseries continues to thrive in its 170th year and continues to move forwards making history.

On this historic occasion Clifton Nurseries wants to say a very big thank you - thank you to everybody who has contributed to Clifton Nurseries in the past, thank you to all our staff, to all our suppliers and contractors, and a very big thank you to all our wonderful customers and friends. We wouldn't be here without you and truly appreciate all your support and enthusiasm, particularly over the last few strange years. Thank you!
