Clifton Nurseries Ltd are excited to announce that we have been engaged by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to maintain the gardens, stands, and non-pitch areas of the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The history of MCC dates back to 1787 and Lord’s – the Home of Cricket – has resided at its current location since 1814 - so not long before the Clifton Nurseries story began.
Established in 1851, less than a mile away from Lord’s in Little Venice, Clifton Nurseries is often aptly described as ‘London’s oldest and most beautiful garden centre’.
Now with an acclaimed landscaping and maintenance division working on both domestic and commercial projects, as well as a second more recently established nursery in leafy Surrey, Clifton Nurseries continues to live up to its ethos of ‘Inspiring Gardeners since 1851’.
In the words of Will Clark, Managing Director from Clifton Nurseries, “We’re delighted to have this opportunity to enter into a partnership with MCC - who are based at the neighbouring Lord’s Cricket Ground - at this exciting time in their illustrious history, and at a time when Clifton Nurseries is also looking forward to the future”.
