Inspiring Gardeners Since 1851

Handmade Stoneware Clay

In a 17th century Kentish cottage surrounded by a rambling garden and the peacefulness of the hills and valley beyond, live the husband and wife team of Mary and Nigel Chapman. For years they have used the ideal setting to create their unique pots that are both beautiful and functional.

The inspiration behind the garden pots, mainly classical in shape and design, comes primarily from the Mediterranean cultures of Ancient Greece. The pots are hand thrown and therefore each one unique in it's own way. They are suitable for a variety of plants - from ornamental trees to flowering shrubs, grasses, herbs and topiary. The warm, toasted finish to the pots enables them to look good and comfortable against stone, brick, flint or slate. Made from Stoneware Clay, they are heavy, exceptionally strong and impervious to frost. Hode pots are simply beautiful and leave you in no doubt that you have a special, quality product.
As these pots are hand made, all sizes given are approximate.
