01/02/2010 - Bring Out Your Bags

We have replaced our old plastic bags with paper and we sell large, reusable Jute bags that can be brought back in again and again. We also have boxes and trays that can be used to carry your purchases.

However, what we really want you to do is to bring your own bags in. Every year millions of perfectly good bags are thrown into landfil simply because we have got into the habit of discarding them after one use. It breaks my heart to see the waste that we produce when it is so easy to avoid. Each bag that is thrown away has been unnecessarily produced, shipped and bought costing vast sums of money and causing us to find more and more landfil space.

To aviod the use of bags we provide trays and boxes which we can't avoid collecting, but which can be reused. We also provide boot liners to keep your car clean and assistance to get your purchases to your car. Or better still, why not leave the car at home and have your things delivered.
